Based on personal experiences and observations, I think the maximum optimum seating for an intercity bus is not to exceed 50 passengers per coach. Even with the 45 foot length, 55 passengers are just too many to cram into an intercity bus. It's like packing sardines in a can only it's passengers and the bus that are involved here. The MCI DL3 would be a really great bus if 5 seats could be shed and others spread out a little more. Otherwise, this is essentially a COMMUTER bus, not an INTERCITY BUS.
