The picture below was taken along Queens Boulevard some blocks southeast of the intersection of Union Turnpike in Kew Gardens, New York very probably between 1939 and 1941.
How am I so sure of this? the large vacant lot behind the billboard on the right side of the image became the home of the Queens Borough Hall and was completed in late 1941.
The two buses traveling toward Jamaica (the actual focus of the photo - in my mind) are Green Bus Lines Mack Model CM's purchased in 1939 and still wearing World's Fair dress (because the picture is rather fuzzy, I have also incuded a closeup of a GBL CM in a factory pose).
Enjoy.

Just a footnote to the above Queens Boulevard photo;
The two Mack buses were either picking up or dropping off World's Fair goers and were not working the Q60.
It wasn't until 1943 that Green Line took over the Manhattan and Queens Bus Corporation whose sole route was Queens Boulevard from Manhattan to South Jamaica.
See photo of fleet number 110 which was among thirty 'CT' Macks that came with the M & Q deal.

Free-transfer,
Boy! - is this the picture I've been looking for!
The last time I saw it was on BusTalk.net, and somehow it got lost in the shuffle because we didn't have enough time to copy before the site shut down and I didn't have it in my own file.
I'll do a little story on it when I return from vacation but, in the meantime, I'll tell you that that's a group of 1935 Mack CX's with one CT thrown in.
A really great historic Green Line photo.
Thanks so much for sharing it.
I've enlarged and brightened it with a minimum loss of clarity.
