This deserves its own thread. Please post sightings and pics here.

From the earlier thread, 8476 8484 8500 8506 8510 & 8511 are the buses at BPK.

Two were sent to ADDA in Long Island for DYNO testing. The others are being prepped for service as we speak but I don't expect any to be in service for at least another week. Two need bulkhead work along with other repairs before they will be put into service.

All of the above mentioned Baisley Park buses are O/S. All have had heavey suspension overhauls along with being sent to Detroit Diesel for DYNO testing. The buses are waiting to be cleared to be sent to JFK.

The bus is put on a machine that brings the engine up to certain speeds (same as actually driving the bus) so that different components of the engine can be tested to make sure everything is working properly.

Thanks, I always wondered if they did something like that. By the way Do you know when those buses should be making their way back?

They are back however none are in service yet. There are still a few 1990 Repowers that are being prepped for service that are holding up the 84/8500s.

In NJ, the State DMV Inspection Stations also use dynos on passenger cars/light trucks during emission checks.

Appearance wise they are in better condition. Some have rotted bulkheads in spots. They are slow just like the other repowers.
