NO happy Yankees fans going home on the crowded "4" and "D" trains tonight....I wonder WHY??
Needless to say, more than a few humbled "AYFs" are calling for Mr. Boone to be ousted..................

Not just Mets' fans. "Bah-ston" fans - whose team, the Red Sox, was wiped out by the insufferable "Boulevardiers" in the wild-card - are likewise licking their lips with satisfaction over such "toin" of events.
And moreover, it was in a "squeaker." |

Not just Mr. Boone, they're no doubt also calling for the scalp (bald as it is) of GM Brian Cashman. |

W.N.:
I,had heard that, also......a lot of bad blood i going to be spilled, fo sure.
All the months of the "AYFs" gloating and lording it over the Mets and their fans is a perfect exanple" of "what goes around, comes aroiud".
REALLY interesting, indeed, is that "fan intervention"also played a role in the shameful downfall of the "Boulevardiers"..........
"Yankees, go home!".......
"NYO"
BTW:
Bet when the garbage trains rolled through those stations serving the "SINO" in the wee hours they were carrying a ton of discarded "crying towel", deposited in the station trash bins by the mobs of disenchanted fans....... |

Yep. Yankee Stadium I(a). (I consider the rebuild I(b).) One wonders if the team's been "coyced" since its total demolition - and the fact they've only won one World Championship in the last 25 years.
A statistician noted that they won half the total World Series matchups thru' 1962, one-sixth from then until 2000, and 1/25 after 2001. More than one commenter has said they've been living off the fumes of their past glories and that those days are long gone. |

Indeed, IMHO, I also believe that the true "heart and soul" of the REAL Yankees vanished forever when the last phase of "demolition/renovation" of the "House That Ruth Built" was completed.
Frankly speaking, it was nothing short of desecration,
And, of course, today's MTA bus fleet is 100% "BINO", with REAL buses like Fishbowls and "Dangerfields" now long gone.....

To say nothing of their predecessors, the "Kramdens" and "Pattons." (The Twin "Oddballs" were their era's equivalent of the eventual Grumman "Borough Bombers.") |

Interesting that the RTS's outlasted, by a few years, the "Cap'n," Jeter . . . when both departed from the scene, I'm sure you'll agree, 'twas truly the end of an era. |

Recall, way back in the day, when "the Cap'n" was indeed the "hot new kid on the block"?
I well recall the TV commercials he was in back then, not to mention allt he magazine ads and billboards he then graced.
And, of couse, by this time, the "SMEEs"were already gone from the IRT for several years, whereas the RTS was then NOT an "endangered species"...........yep, it sure was a loooong time ago...........
