"Noo Yawk" baseball "nooze" for Tuesday.....................
Though the "Boulevardier" won the "foist" game of their double-header, they FIZZLED with the second; meanwhile, the Mets have a pretty decent lead over the "Rayn-jers".........

We can take comfort in the fact that "Baldy-more" CRUSHED the "Boulevardiers" in the "foist" game. The second game is underway.
Meanwhile, the Mets and "Pound-Laundry" are duking it out. ("Pound-Laundry" is how Theodore Bikel referred to Washington in a piece called "Digging the Weans" he recited on his 1959 concert album Bravo Bikel. My late mother loved that routine.) It could be heard here:
