"KINGS HIGHWAY" station renovation (1010 WINS)........

"Mr. Jan-OH!" was gushing over this station now being "fully renovated and accessible".

And,of course, his usual schpiel.....

....the station is over100 years old; so much has eroded under the surfaces...."

"....too many tight places in which to work....."

On top of it all, now we hear "congestion pricing" hasn't really cut back on air pollution . . .

"Hoid" on 1010 WINS that more shutdowns of the "Gee" are upcoming; business owners along the line are NOT at all pleased, as one might imagine; they are trying to get the "Em-Tee-Ay" to re-schedule at least some of the work.....

Last time Your's Truly rode the "Gee-Gee", the hulking "Artens" (aka "Thunderboids") were still in "soivice"(and that's a LOOOOONG time ago!)....... Shocked

This weekend will be the "wrap up" fir the multi-weekend switch replacement/trackwork on the #1, #2, and #3 lines

Of course, this also translates into seeing lfewer block signals and more "See-Bee-Tee-See".......... Razz

The last cars running that are NOT NTTs, and the last with roller curtains.....an era is indeed in iits twilight..... Sad
