"Fire On Ice" season is approaching......

Mr. Fischler's "Rayn-jers" are playing their "foist" game of the season up in "Bahston", on 9/29.

First home game will beplayed on 10/1.

Let's hope that Mr. Fischler will not be chuggin' the ol'' Maalox too much, this season..... Rolling Eyes

That's not all. Not long after, a new basketball season, not only for the NBA champ "Ka-nicker-bockers," but also "doze Nets from Brooklyn," will commence.

W.B.:

It's ALL gonna be INTERESTING, to say the least! Wink

"Hoid" on 1010 WINS, that, in honor of the Globetrotters 100th birthday, a limited edition line of "bobblheags" will soon be up for sale; $30 bucks for one, $200.00 plus for the set......

"Noo Yawk" baseball "nooze" for Friday........

Ain't no justice..........

Early on, in "Shik-aga", the Mets had a good lead over the "Sox" (who were not even on the scoreboard)

Next thing, the game was tied, and, of course,it ended up with the "Sox" defeating the battered and bruised Mets (a LOT of happy "Sox" fans going home on the "See-Tee-Ay" tonight) Razz

And, of course, AMOTHER win for those arrogant, pompous "Boulvardiers", up at the "SINO", in "da Bronx".......... Razz

The "South Siders" (as the Sox are known) are on top of the "Ay-El" Central, and have been playing like a house on fire. The "Bloo Jays," however, are fourth in the "Ay-El" East.

Those Sox fans would have likely headed home on the "Red Line," the underground sections of which had the Type II track construction prevalent on the "Eye-En-Dee" here.

There is only one consolation: the "Boulevardiers" have not been able to shake off second place in the AL East (Tampa Bay is on top, but they don't play the "Boulevardiers" again until next month). But then, the Mets haven't been able to shake off last place, either, though their record, as noted, ain't the worst (that dubious record now belongs to the A's in the AL West).

W.B.:

Hard to believe, that, next month, the regular 2026 baseball season ends; mercifully, the Mets will be out of their misery for the next several months.

BTW:

Also, I "hoid" on 1010 WINS this week that, this Thursday , the "Boulvardiers" are playing against the Astros; it will also be "Seinfrld" night, when a limited number of "George Costanza" bobbles (he's wearing a Yankees shirt and holding a calzone!) will be available Wink

"Noo Yawk" baseball "nooze" for Saturday (late edition)

To say that the Mets' bats were in ATTACK MODE this evening, out in "Shik-aga" is an UNDERSTATEMENT! Shocked Shocked Shocked

For sure, NO happy 'Sox" fans riding home on the "See-Tee-Yay's Red Line trains..... Wink

Another seesaw, the total "revoice" of yesterday . . .

The Mets lose in a "squeaker" in "Shik-aga," with contented Sox fans filing out of the 'park to the "See-Tee-Yay's" Red Line . . .

. . . while the "Boulevardiers" completely shellacked the "Bloo Jays."

W.B.:

I just "hoid" this on 1010 WINS......like the Mets need ANOTHER loss, and like the ever-smug "Boulvardiers" need their already overly-inflated egos further inflated. Sad

Status quo............. Sad

"NYO:

BTW:

Both "Noo Yawk" teams off Monday
