W.B.:

Yeah, those respective scores also had me thinking......."coinicence?

A little eerie, indeed; likewise, I agree....I DO think the later Tommu John KNEW, that, Old Timers Day, that his passing would be forthcoming, within days....RIP.... Sad

The Mets play the "PAHD-rays" tonight at Citi Field; the "Boulevardiers" have the night off.

On the flip side, a "soitan' ballpark up in "da Bronx" came in at #24! Razz

Barring any last-minute "Pad-rays" "soige," looks like the Mets may yet pull another rabbit out of their hat (no, not Bugs).

The Mets, in fact, just WON today's early afternoon game; so, happily, smiling Mets fans are heading home aboard those crowded #7 trains......Wink

UPDATE:

Well, the ever-arrogant "Boulevardiers" just won down "Baldy-more" (where streetcars ran until late 1963) ;as the Mets also won, they at least, cannot lord it over "The Boys From Queens"............

Let's see if "Baldy-more" gets aggressive with the "Boulevardiers, this evening, and deflate their massive egos, at least a notch..... Rolling Eyes

"Noo Yawk" baseball "nooze" for Thursday..........

Well, once again, "Baldy-more" fell short (again!), which allowed the ever-arrogant"Boulevardiers" to win once again. Sad

With all the heavy rain and flooding tonight (which also affected some subways), good thing the Mets were off.....

Well......"Fire On Ice" season is fast approaching......

Mr. Fischler's "Rayn-jers" are playing their "foist" game of the season up in "Bahston", on 9/29.

"Foist" home game will be on 10/1.

Let's hope that Mr. Fischler will not be chuggin' the ol'' Maalox too much, this season..... Rolling Eyes
