UPDATE:
MTA bus involved was #5280.
15 aboard the (articulated) bus and five firemen who were on the rig were injured; thankfully, none of the injuries are serious.
Eyewitness News at 4 showed some heart-stopping images of the moment of collision......

Figures. A "rolling Wurlitzer" (only without the music).
But it also begs the question as to how durable today's fire trucks are built as opposed to those of old. Not just with the buses. |

A VERY good point to bring up.
You HAVE to wonder, just how much more (or less) "solidly built" todays fire trucks are, compared to those of several decades ado.....
