Agreed.

The present line (and its yard/repair facility) would have to be totally rebuilt, if iLRVs replace the PCCs.

Certainly rail enthusiast patronage will certainly drop off significantly, and no wonder....

........amazing that the MBTA is STILL running vintage PCCs (at least for now), while NJT retired their City Subway fleet nearly 25 years ago.

Sadly, even if the PCCs were still running in Newark, the city has become so dangerous that, even I, who loved the City Subway and its PCCs more than anyone else, would not venture forth into the city to railfan these classic streetcars.

No hobby us worth your risking your personal safety for.

I have not been in Newark for almost 30 years now

I'm so very grateful for allof my great memories, and allof the great photos I took, over 50 years aho.....
