"Bah-ston" made mince meat of the Mets in the same way they'd previously put the "Boulevardiers" in their place some time back. Speaking of whom, thus far they're losing in a "squeaker" out in "Dee-See" to the Nationals.

Had to chuckle...........

Late yesterday, 1010 WINS anchor Larry Mullins made this comment, regarding the "Sox" flight being delayed......

".....looks like the Mets are so tired of losing, they gave the Sox the wrong directions....." Rolling Eyes

It's all so dang pathetic............... Sad

When BOTH "Noo Yawk" teams can't beat "Bah-ston" which is currently next-to-last in the AL East - well . . .

And of course, next week's the All-Star break . . .

"Boo Yawk" baseball "nooze" fir Sunday...........

Well, so much for a new "skipper" to get the Mets out of thierr continual slump (yep, the Mets LOST again) :eir

And,, of course, ANOTHER victory for the arrogant "Boulevardiers", who are obviously now in full attack mode, with Mets fans again in the crosshairs Crying or Very sad

IMHO, I think the battered and bruised Mets should just call it a day and leave the field until 2027..................what a danf farce.........

I know what you mean, but unfortunately, the way baseball seasons are structured are unlike boxing matches where, if an opponent is pummeled beyond recognition, the fight is stopped right then and there. That's not an option in baseball, alas.

As for the Mets' change in "skippers," it seems reminiscent of a line in The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again": "Meet the new boss / Same as the old boss."

"Noo Yawk" baseball "nooze" for Friday......................

"GO, DODGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!" Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy (game was indeed a classic "squeaker!')

Looks like no happy "AYF" are heading home on the "4" and "D" trains this evening! Rolling Eyes

As the name "Dodgers" is still firmly linked to the ol' Flatbush days, perhaps that might have been one reason that the "Boulevardiers" didn't "cut the mustard", up in "da Bronx"...... Razz

Let us not forget, it was nearly two years ago in the "Woild" Series that the Dodgers whipped the arrogant "Boulevardiers" in five games - after crushing the Mets in six in the playoffs (showing the boys from Flushing had more of an atom of fight in 'em in those days than the "Boulevardiers" from "da Bronx").
