W.B.:
Thanks for the info; just what I was looking for.
I'm thinking now of that 1960 photo in "NEW YORK CITY TTANSIT MEMORIES";showing the new "Jetson"j ust behind an about-to-be-retired B&QT trolleybus.
I still think hat this was a "staged publicity" shot; it would seem to me that th e new Fishbowls would have been better suited to a "tony" Manhattan route ,instead of "working class" Brooklyn, where a "Kramden" or a "Patton" would have (iMHO) been better suited.............

The "foist" "Tee-Yay" "Jetsons" assigned to Manhattan would have been within the second order (500-805) from 1960 - AFTER FACL beat them to the punch with their "Jetsons" with their green-and-cream fleet (including 10 A/C units). Let's not forget the "Tee-Yay's" particular priorities in where bus orders were first assigned - especially since their HQ were in Brooklyn. But for them, replacing the last of their trolleybuses was at that time of the highest priority, given how La Guardia's hatred of streetcars still hovered over them like a scythe. |

Cannot help but wonder what sort of serious encounter that battered "Kramden"on the right encountered; looks like the front end is pretty well taped up.
Of course, "stoa's" Old Looks were all OOS by 1973...............
