THIS is bound to get interesting.....

The battered, beaten, and totally-bashed "AINO" are heading back to"ho,e toif" to take on the TWINS.

NOW....will the CitiField-bound #7 trains be more empty than usual, OR, will they be jammed with HIGHLY DISGRUNTLED, disgusted "fans", ready to take out their seething, pent-up frustrations on the Mets, should they extend their losses to an even DOZEN, back in home territory, and to their further embarrsment??

IMHO, ANYTHING is possible (and it can get UGLY pretty quic)........

From 1010 WINS earlier...........

".......Mets fans are talking more and more of 'divorce' more and more, given the historically shameful performances of the Mets as of late....."

"....the Mets are now ar rheir lowest in two decades....."

One "fan" was thus quoted:

......I hold both the players and the management totally resposible......"

I'm just praying that, tomorrow night, the Mets FINALLY win; I have this gut feeling that, iall hell will break loose,of they lose.

Of they lose (AGAIN!) things are going to get pretty ugly (and out of hand) pretty fast.

I know I sure as heck wouldn't want to be anywhere in the vicinity ,that's for sure..............

As to the Mets' losses, some have noted that they haven't won a game since Mamdani hugged both Mr. and Mrs. Met inside the corridors of Citi Field. So there are fans who are sore over that.

W.B.:

Again, I only hope that the Mets win tomorrow night, even if only by a "squeaker".

You and I both know that "riled" sports fans can get pretty ugly and rambunctious (and downright dangerous), when their team(s) are in a prolongued slump.

I do not even want to think about the toxic falloout that would follow at Citi Field, if the Mets lose not only ANOTHER game, BUT, also, oneplayed on "home toif"............

it's The Day of reckoning in Queens..........

Today, the battered, bruised, and bashed "AINOs" return to Queens; everyone is waiting wuth bated breath, I am sure, praying for a miracle of some sort.

Scott Stanford (1010 WINS) earlier announced that the Meadlines (or back cover) of the NY POST shouts "CURSE OF THE MAMBINO", regarding the Mets's multiple losses, and a "close encounte"r with 'Hizzoner" (could it be?)

Scott:

".......When the Mets come out onto the field later today, DON'T 'boo' them; give them a little 'home town welcome", at least......"

Also:

".....many Mets fans are still blaming "Hizzoner" for hugging "Mr. Met "(and "Mrs. Met") so hard that he squeezed the good luck out of 'em, awhile back.........." Wink

I'm just praying the "AINOs" win later today, if only to prevent a riot after the game, or pelted by projectiles during the game.....these days, you just never know......

Larry Mullins on the Mets (1010 WINS).............

",,,,,of you're heading out to the Mets game this evening, concentrate on the FOOD, concentrate on the HIGH PRICES, concentrate on the chilly temps, but DON'T concentrate of the Mets, just in case they lose again......."

'nuff said.......... Rolling Eyes

From Eyewitness News at 4.......

Anchor Joe Torres (BIG Mets fan!) did a "run-through" report on "The Curse Of The Mambino", showing fooitage of the Mayor enthusiastically hugging "Mr. and Mrs. Met".......and then mentioning that the Mets have lost EVERY GAME since; today's NY POST headlines were also shown)

Survey was also taken to see if Mets fans would like to see "Grimace" return....... Wink

"Hizzoner" is taking all the backlash in stride, saying it's all part of being the mayor; he DOES hope, however, that the Mets FINALLY get back in track, this evening, as we all do............

Eyewitness News at 6.......

Sportcaster Ryan Field (well-layered!) was out at Citi Field; he also had the now-infamous footage of "Hizzoner"embracing "Mr. & Mrs. Met"; Ryan also mentioned the dreaded possibility of the Mets losing 12 games in a row......

".......historically, no team that has lost 12 straught games has ever made it to the playoffs......."

Tensions are indeed high, tonight.........now, the waiting begins.....

"Noo Yawk" baseball "nooze" for Tuesday....................

Tonight, the bashed and battered "AINOs" just lost their TWELFTH STRAIGHT GAME (AND on "home toif", no less, AND blowing an early lead!) Sad

"Adios" to any chance of making the 2026 season.

SOMEHING "out of the realm of normalcy" simply will NOT allow the tarnished team to break its multiple game losing streak ( sure wouldn't want to be riding home on a #7 train tonight, that's for certain) Sad

Meanwhile, up in "da Bronx", the arrogance level of the "AYF" brigade (with fangs bared) is now reaching unchartered heights, as the pompous "YINOs" won yet again.

Have to watch Ryan Field's report on Eyewitness News at 11......man, CANNOT BELIEVE it's now 12 STRAIGHT LOSSES for the Mets......"Hizzoner"is REALLY gonna be taking flak, with this latest embarrassing defeat.................Sad

Further...........

Read that more than a few Mets fans opted to stay at home (and who can blame them?), despite the crowd at Citi Field.

As the game was taking a downturn, the "boos" became louder and meaner, and a number of fans wore bags over their heads. Sad

"The Amazing Nets"......yes, indeed..........pretty dang pathetic, no matter how you slice it........... Sad

Speaking of basketball, Monday the "animated Globetrotters" must've been stopped at the gate, as the "Ka-nikker-bockers" lost in a squeaker to the Hawks, in their playoff round. So it's now all tied up, and they resume tomorrow.

"Adios, 2026 postseason for the "AINOs".........

Seems that the newscasters (and the media in general) are really stressing the fact that there is virtually no hjope for the Mets to make the 2026 postseason Sad

Of course, the "AYF" brigade are in a slobbering "feeding frenzy", like a flock of varcass-picking vultures....... Sad

"NYO"

Also.....

IF, by a MAJOR miracle the Mets WIN tonight, then "13" would indeed be their lucky number...................

"Cheaper By The Dozen"? Rolling Eyes

On Eyewitness News at 6, sportscaster Ryan Field shared the following message via social media:

"Name three things that come in a dozen":

Eggs

Roses

Mets' losses

When even the most die-hard fans are wearing paper bags over their heads, and loudly "booing" the players, you KNOW things are really getting ugly.......... Sad
