"R-27s"/"R-30s" for the SIRT.,........

Given the overall "commuter" nature" of the SIRT, I wonder if the seating arrangement would have reverted back to that used on the "R-16".............

Are any "Fordy Fours" over on the "Isle of Staten" being held in reserve, or have all now been officially retired?

Still hard to fathom that the "Fordy-Fours" are no longer a part of daily Staten Island life; STILL cannot believe that the were in service for over a HALF-CENTURY!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked

Never thought they'd last longer than the veteran "Staten Island Toonerviles"("ME-1s"!) Shocked

Last Your's Truly "Rode The Rapid" was during the summer of '87.......got some good pics that day, especially at Tottenville...... Wink
