The first photo shows the bus at the Leyland factory in England.

The second photo shows one of the eight Leyland double decker in MaBSTOA service on route M5.

Note how the windows were changed between those in England and New York. The change was done before they were shipped to the US. This was done to meet the safety requirements of the US and New York. But somehow they were altered again once in San Francisco.

The third photos shows one of the eight Leyland double decker as sold to and operating in San Francisco with Gray Line Tours

LOVE THOSE LEYLANDS!!!!!!!! Very Happy Very Happy

Back in the day, LEYLAND double-deckers were as commonplace in London (and other British cities) as were our Old Looks, here at home.

A number of (now-vintage) buses similar the the MaBSTOA demo are now in preservation, and are now classics in their own right.

Again, GREAT photos!! Very Happy
