That's not the only Walgreens where "Soiface" "Kramdens" and "Pattons" passed by over their long service lives. So was the Walgreens at the original Times Tower on Broadway and 42d.

But back to the "here and now": Both our "Noo Yawk"-in-name-only football teams (the anything-but-Giants and the sputtering-propeller Jets) lost. Surprise, surprise!

More updates to follow in the eternal "pendulum" of "Noo Yawk" sports.

Way back in the 1960s, Your's Truly well recalls the huge Walgreens in the old "Port-of-Authority"; to a young lad, seemed like you could buy just about anything there! Wink

As to "Noo Yawk" sports.......without a doubt, that insidious "see-saw"/"pendulum" scenario seems to hang on like an unwelcome weekend guest......... Rolling Eyes

The "EYE-landers," however, did manage to win one . . .

Last night, the "RAIN-jers" and Devils won - both in "squeakers" (so, with the former, Mr. Fischler could lay off the Maalox if only for a bit); and, though on the road, "doze Ka-nikker-bockers" had "doze animated Globetrotters" at their side - given they were playing against "doze Nets." Yep, the "Ka-nikker-bockers" won at the expense of their rivals across the East River.

W.B.:

Besides the ever-present ""seesaws" and "pendulums", it indeed seems as though there is also NO shortage of "squeakers", regarding games played by "Moo Yawk" sports teams......... Wink

(PS: Am sure that Mr. Fischler was indeed more than happy to lay off the Maalox, if only for one evening!) Wink

Latest "Noo Yawk" sports "nooze"........

According to 1010 WINS, last night was NOT a good one for the "Noo Yawk" teams. Sad

Mr. Fischler is STILL probably chugging away on the Maalox! Rolling Eyes

Looks like "doze animated Globetrotters" took the night off, last evening.......... Razz

Catching up . . .

The "Ka-nikker-bokkers" keep winning (with the hand of the animated "Globetrotters" leading them on), the Nets keep losing (you have to wonder if they need one - as in the proverbial "funny farm") . . .

Based on yesterday's results of the "RAIN-jers" game, no doubt Mr. Fischler ended up chugging Maalox by the tablespoon . . . the "Eye-landers" lost their last two games . . . and the "coyce" of "En-Jay-Tee" apparently overrode the spirit of "Pea-Ess-See-Tee" in "doze Devils' " own backyard if based on their losing yesterday on their home "toif" to the Flyers. And yet it's the Devils that are in "foist" place in their division. Go figure.

The "sputtering-propeller" Jets play today against "At-LAN-ta," the Giants tomorrow against New England.

And whatta surprise, the Jets actually won a game today - in an "almost squeaker" against the Falcons. The "Ka-nikker-bokkers" also won at "da Garden" tonight. However, the "Eye-landers" lost. Yep, seesaws and pendula all over the place.
