That looks more like Madison Avenue - the cross section of the thoroughfare is narrower than on Fifth Avenue, and #2853 mentioning Lenox Avenue, this was evidently taken before the one-way conversions of 1966 and the #2 in question being the ex-NYCO route which, by then, transitioned from Park Avenue South to Madison at 25th Street northbound (and 24th Street southbound). Also, looks like the entrance to the Look Magazine building at right.

But still, yes, a remarkable picture. I'd like to see a photo of a Fishbowl plying the #2 Fifth-Madison-Lenox route (with or without batwings) along Fifth as between 1966 and 1969.
