One route did not change its number after the July 1, 1974 switches: the pull-in, pull-out, ex-FACCo #10 - Broadway between "135 St Only" and 168th Street-Broadway. 1974 side roll signs clearly said "M10 Bway" right after the "M10 Eighth Avenue Central Pk West" entry. Two years later, this phantom route - never listed on any bus maps nor on any dispatchers' maps - was discontinued.
But I did wish to mention, the 15 Jackson Heights, based on a pic on nycsubway.org, showed the route number in the 1973-74 period (prior to it being renumbered M32) as "QM15."
I also wondered why Motor Coach Age didn't do a follow-up, in later years, on the MaBSTOA saga, from their May 1972 issue which detailed the first ten years; when their divisions were reorganized into Manhattan and Bronx Divisions (as opposed to the old FACO, NYCO and Surface Transit designations); that renumbering as mentioned; the 1980-84 Grumman fiasco; and so on.
