Today I took some scrap metal to a recycler, just to get the junk out of the house. The $ 3.00 I got will go into the grandsons' piggy banks.
After dropping off the stuff in Wyandanch and filling up at $2.77 per gallon, I did a little bus fanning.
At Wells and Wells Equipment on South 18th and Straight Path, I found ex-Harran 564. It is still in the Harran Red/White, but Wells and Wells Equipment lettered across the front below the Windsheild. Since it was a fenced and locked property I couldn't get closer.
However, right next to 564, was an MCI-102 xxxx numbered 201 that said across the frontt "K&W Tours and a 516 area code number. This bus looked like the glass on the passenger door was missing. Both 201 and its neighbor 564 had no license plates on their fronts.
Also some of the green Wells and Wells buses, now are re-branded as Touch of Class.
Then 2 blocks south on South 20th and Straight Path resides #553, now in the ownership of a born again church with a name of Blessing and Salvation Ministry (or something similar). This bus is plated and looks road worthy. |
