|
|
A few years ago, I recall seeing a short film clip somewhere, perhaps at a New York Division E.R.A. meeting, in color, showing postwar bus operation on a beautiful tree-lined residential street in Brownsville, Brooklyn. As a subway, el and streetcar enthusiast in the 1940's, I did not travel the bus routes of Brownsville. Would the B14 on Sutter Avenue qualify for the description above? Or could someone name another location? I am quite certain that the bus service was within the bounds of Brownsville. I take it that Pitkin Avenue is ruled out because of the elevated line to Lefferts Blvd.
Thank you. Joe McMahon |
