Wow - I remember that magazine. Did it also have an article about the SCRTD's El Monte busway? |

Michael,
Very interesting and informative article - I just wish that it would have first been printed last week so we could look forward to another 25 years of real buses!
Thanks for sharing.

I had that issue and wore it out. That magazine helped convince me that I wasn't nuts for liking buses and streetcars, and also helped push me to start taking pictures of the buses I was seeing every day around the Boston area. I may have to find a copy on eBay just for old times sake! |

R.B.,
If you find two, I'll take one!
Sounds very interesting - I'm sorry I threw away all my 'Bus Transportation' magazines years ago - but, who knew?

That's the one issue of that magazine that I bought back then and it's a good one. Too bad they didn't use decent paper, though. I had scanned the RTS article also and posted it at the old BTN. |

Dave,
Maybe Michael can find that thread from BTN.
That would solve the whole problem!

Mr. Linsky,
I think Evan has solved the problem by writing the book on the RTS! I've still got my copy of the original magazine but it's on pulp paper that has turned brown with age. And, it's only 32 years old!!!

Dave,
Reminds me of the old 3M Thermofax copiers that we had forty years ago!
Once in a while I have to resort to information on copies that I still have in my files - the paper is fine but there are no longer any words on them!
I guess that sometimes the old doesn't fit too well with the new!

Mr. Linsky,
Good thing we're in better shape for our age than our documents!
