New bus service connects with Metrolink in Riverside

For $2.25, less than a gallon of gas you can ride the RTA Commuter Link Route 210. This new service will take commuters from the Stage Coach Plaza in Banning. The public is invited to join the new route with a Ribbon Cutting ceremony, Jan 13 at 10 a.m. and the ride is free.
Route 210 makes leaves Banning at 4:02 a.m. and 5:56 a.m. The route has departures in Beaumont at 4:10 a.m. and 6:04 a.m. A total of seven stops in Banning, Beaumont, Calimesa, Moreno Valley, the downtown Riverside bus terminal and at Marketplace Metrolink station. The entire one way journey is designed to take an hour or less from the Pass area to downtown Riverside.
RTA route 210 began on Jan 14. All rides are free during the month of January, a one way fee is $2.25 and monthly passes are available for $43.00.
Brad Weaver of RTA said, “The public demand will determine additional routes or changes to the current routes in the future.” |
