While researching Harran Transportation Co and it's sister companies and it's owner George Semke. I came across a legal document which stated that a partner of Semke's, Thomas Moonis Sr had made loans to the companies that they owned. The loans were outstanding when Moonis Sr died in 1998.
According to Thomas Moonis Sr's will the balance of the loans due as well as his interest in the companies passed to his wife. Anyway when his wife died a few years later the loans still hadn't been paid back.
Any in 2006 Semke and the Estate of Thomas Moonis wife, which their son Thomas Moonis Jr was the Executor had made a deal to put all the companies up for sale.
The companies were said to have been offered up for sale where Harran Ultimately closed in December. Semke, the wife's estate, and a third Partner named Joe Fernandez then agreed to sell the Harran Depot at 30 Mahan Street.
