A scene from 1974's hilarious "Babs" Noo Yawk romp (filmed in Brooklyn!) "FOR PETE'S SAKE" (two New Looks are seen here in the background; a "Batwing" Fishbowl is just behind the officer about to set the K-9 patrol off in hot pursuit of a fleeing Streisand......

The bus in the background in the “World of Henry Orient” photo is not a MaBSTOA bus but an NYCTA bus.

This scene is from "THE NAKED CITY" (1947); the 1930's MACK seen here indeed looks quite dated, even by 1947 standards......

MaBSTOA 15:

Thanks for this info; I also was considering an "AVENUE B" bus, but, in all honesty, was far from being certain; as I had no idea just where in the city that photo was taken, I could only guess.

Funny how "dated" that MACK looked, even then; I guess bus styling had indeed come a LONG way since that MACK had been the "new kid on the block"......

For the record, here is another prewar MACK relic of the "AVENUE B".......

Going back to the post where I put up a link to Fishbowl #8436 from "CLAUDINE" (1974)........

What number does route #100 use today; also, what are/were the two terminal points?

Thanks....

Route 100, Broadway-Kingsbridge was assigned to the Amsterdam Depot (in 1970).

The northern terminal was Riverdale Ave. and 242nd St., the Bronx.
The southern terminal was Third Avenue and 125th St., Manhattan.
These terminals are approximate.

The destination sign looks "fake"
