It's a nice shot, thanks for posting it, but that bus certainly does not appear "new"....or is it the route that is new at that time?

That's a great historical image; thanks for posting (I'm not old enough to remember those ACFs running up and down Jewel Avenue; I only date back to the TDH-5106 era )

You're welcome. The photo was taken in 1951 so the route was new at the time having started that November.

Ahhh....that figures...
that was when Electchester and Pomonok housing first opened to resident's...I moved in three years later, and some of those may have still been in service...can't remember for sure...

Former Queens-Nassau Transit ACF C-44 renumbered to 35 and working for American Sightseeing tours.
The complete panel below the windshield seems to be taken off a GM old look.
