There is only one flat front bus model manufactured by Yellow/GM that has a one piece windshield.

Can you name it?

Here's an easy one....

What was the last intercity bus that offered an emergency door? Smile

Unless you're considering high platform GMC new look Suburbans as intercity buses - in this case the 5308's, I would have to say the PD-4104.

At least one PD-4106 in New Jersey had a factory installed emergency door.

Very unique to say the least. I'm wondering if this was factory installed or an after market modification.

As far as I know, all PD-4106's registered in New Jersey were required to have an emergency door, so they were a factory option.

Your turn, MaBSTOA.... Smile

Agreed!

It appears like the emergency door arrangement was taken from the PD-4104 assembly. Good thing GM didn’t throw out the jigs and molds. It probably saved Public Service some money.

BTW, notice the “Jersey” fare gate visible through the windshield.

I don't think those doors were exactly like the 4104's...maybe the doors and frames, but the taller windows were matched with those on the '06....

Those 'gates' were probably where Greyhound got the idea for those plastic "security barrier's" they have now.... Smile
