I've recently come into this photo that depicts Twin Coach buses being used to spell out the word TWIN at Stow Field in Stow, OH. This airport is a few miles west of the Twin Coach factory in Kent, OH. Given history known about Stow Field this photo was probably taken early to mid-1930's.

Anyone here able to name the model of Twin Coach bus or have a better idea of the specific year? Thanks in advance.

What looks like rear doors, 7 windows between them and equal distance overhangs, I'm thinking they're Model 40's. What looks like front grills may be part of the paint scheme as Model 40's did not have front grills.

Considering that the Model 40 was built between 1927 and 1934, it's a bit hard to establish the year of this photo.

Pretty sure you are right Frankie. Model 40. That may be some sort of advertising on the front ends

Here you go. 1930 Fageol/Twin. Single engine in front with a grill.

Photo on the bottom appears to be a later model.

It looks like you nailed it Jimmi. Good job pal. That's a Model 30 in the top photo - 1 window shorter. The Model 40 in the bottom photo seems to fit the bill to a tee - including the front grill.

All they needed were 17 more buses to spell out COACH!

Wow, great info! They also seem to use a 6 window bus for the inside of the W and N. Would that be a model 30?
