From the latest edition of FYI by MCI comes this article about Setra coaches in North American fleets:
http://www.mcicoach.com/fyiFromMci/p&s/0615.htm
Somehow the words "Setra" and "fleet" just don't come together that naturally ... |

Of course they only mention one company with a fleet of Setras. |

I know of a couple more companies here that have 'fleets' of Setra's...Academy and Martz.
I have only ridden the three miles between Hoboken and The City on a Setra, but IMHO, the Setra's do not ride as well as a Prevost X-3, or H model.
By the way...the companies I mentioned, are not buying more Setra's....Academy is buying Prevost 'H's, and Martz MCI 'J's.....
Just some old trivia....how many of you are aware that Kassbohrer-Setra was the original (1956-1961), contracted builder of Continental Trailways' proprietary Eagle coaches?
Now those rode superbly, with their Torsilastic suspension..... |
