The newspaper caption refers to the bus in the photo as "one" of several. But no evidence exists that others actually arrived.
The only other photo that I have seen is of the demo, restored to almost brand new condition, sits atop of a barge (in the Miami River) ready for shipment to Havana. Othe buses are also on the barge. Some are GM PD-3703s others are FitzJohn "City Liners"
The only other Yellow Coach, a model 740, well used and abused, was in service in a lesser operator in one of the other Cuban cities.
I have the photos that I mention above. However, since I will be moving everything right now is boxed up in a storage facility and not easily reached. Otherwise, I would upload them here. Sorry... |

Hopefully, one day, you will be able to share some of those photos here on the board with us; I am sure that they would be greatly enjoyed by all!
The "modern" PSNJ ASV's were little more than a decade old when PS pulled the plug on ASV operations in the late 40's.
Bieng that they operated off of gas motors when not under wire, I always wondered why none of the many "indy" companies in the Hudson/Essex County area did not purchase at least some of them, remove the electrical gear, and use them as straight gas buses.
Again, thanks for contributing some interesting historical info....
