It seems that these buses are leaving JFK depot at MTA bus Company and are returning to the Bronx division NYCT depots. In their place, Manhattan and the Bronx are sending 2002 and 2003 New Flyer D60HFs. They'll probably stay there until the next round of artics arrive in 2015-2016.
