Was in a big accident today. It hit a minivan while deadheading along the M4 and crashed into a building. Major front end damage. Don't know if they'll repair it.

Yes, it was horrific! It happened on the 14th St. Crosstown line. The artic bus was broadsided by a stolen box van careening through a red light. The impact knocked the bus through scaffolding and into a building ejecting the driver who died instantly.

I've seen photos (you know where to find them!) but this is not the place to post them. And please don't!

Wrong accident, that was 5299. 6372 was not in service and was side swiped by a minivan.

The front end of the bus had buckled and is heavily damaged. If this bus somehow does comeback, it won't be for a very long time. Perhaps they can transplant the face of a retired Orion VII? As for #5299, that one might be a goner. That bus had an accident similar to #1804's back in 2011.

Saw a newer photo of that bus and it appears to have the front face smashed. There is some heavy damage. Don't know if the frame was damaged though.
