Talk about different methods of converting transit buses for school runs, Rochester Transit Corporation of Rochester, New York devised a special bracket over the destination signs on many of their aging GM Old Looks as can be seen in the photo below.
Mounted at the center of the bracket was the single flashing red stop light (same setup in rear) that we discussed and which was all that was required by New York State and certainly less elaborate those needed in New Jersey at the time.
