Suffolk Transit resumed regular service Thursday, Nov. 01, 2012. Expect delays and detours system-wide. Three (3) days of suspended service is unprecedented in Suffolk County. |

Saw 9919 on the S-41 today. Unusual to see a 99xx in service. |

Don't you mean either 9920,9923,9928 or 9929. 9919 was retired. |

We were going in opposite directions when the bus passed. You're probably correct that it was 99929. |

I thought it was probably 9929 that you saw, though I listed the others just in case. I think SBC's Bay Shore yard, uses their 99xx's probably if they couldn't get any 10xx's or 50xx's out. EBT probably does the same thing with their two 99xx's. I know SBC's Ronkomkoma Yard seems to use their 99xx's, normally on the 7D/E, but sometimes on their other routes. |

This just in;
Over fifty trucks, crews and equipment from both the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (DWP) and Southern California Edison have been dispatched to Long Island and will arrive possibly tomorrow aboard Air Force cargo jets.
Hopefully, this assistance will speed power recovery efforts in Nassau and Suffolk.
Give our guys a rousing welcome!
Good luck,
Mr. 'L' |
