Just a few glimpses from those halcyon, long-ago days, when buses were handsome, attractive, more than worth watching, and built like TANKS.......

Somebody really got the identifications mixed up on this one!

Within the attached photo of Triboro Coach Corporation (NY) # 1181, it's pegged as being a TDH 5103 and in the description below the image on the Subway Board it's described as a TDH 4512.

Wrong, wrong, wrong! # 1181 was a TDH 5104 and one of fifteen likenesses numbered between 1181 and 1195 delivered to the company in 1952.

Rare to find such glaring errors on the that board!

Regards,

Mr. 'L'

Mr. "L":

Please permit me to say right up front (yet again!) that your knowledge of buses past truly boggles the mind!

You, sir, would do well to write a book on the subject....I am QUITE sure that more than a few "old school" bus enthusiasts (yours truly included!) would find such a work most interesting, rewarding and educational!

Once again, I thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!

"NYO"

BTW:

Man, those old GMC's were GORGEOUS!
