This 1977 Universal Pictures release stars Henry Winkler as a Vietnam Vet just out of a VA hosptial on a cross-country odyssey where he hooks up with Sally Field aboard a bus. It also features Harrison Ford as one of Winkler's war buddies he visits. The opening scene is on the main level of the Port Authority Bus Terminal, but when he reaches the platform level, they are shot inside the Trans Bay Transit Terminal in San Francisco, posing as New York.....I guess the location manager figures no one would notice.....
Good scenes aboard the bus with Winkler and Field and another good scene at the depot in "Sedalia"......

traildriver,

When we worked on the T.V. production of Warner Brother's 'Sinatra' in 1992, the airport scenes which were supposed to be very early forties La Guardia, in New York were actually done at Long Beach Airport out here because it very closely resembled what La Guardia was in that period.

We also had to find a 1939 Black Ford convertible with a cream top and fog lights out here to match the one being used as Sinatra's car in Hoboken - we did find a car but we had to jury rig the lights.

Regards,

Mr. 'L'
