Seen somewhere in Atlantic City, New Jersey and signed as charter in 1949 is fleet # 108 - a 1937 Yellow Coach Model 1205 and one of fifteen likenesses numbered from 101 to 115 delivered in increments between 1937 and 1938 to the DeCamp Bus Lines, Inc. of Montclair, New Jersey.

Built exclusively for DeCamp, the single door 41 passenger 1205 was a reworked 40 passenger model 740 transit featuring suburban seating with parcel racks and a 233 and a half inch wheelbase with a rear mounted 707 cubic inch gasoline engine tied to a mechanical transmission.

The 1205's kissing cousin model 740 was the forerunner of Yellows 'Old Look' line and was the first to employ a Detroit 6-71 Diesel engine coupled by angle drive to Spicer's then revolutionary fully automatic hydraulic transmission.

All of DeCamp's 1205's received Diesel plants after the war.

DeCamp Bus Lines, the oldest commuter and charter operation in northern New Jersey, has been a family owned transportation company since its first stage coach saw service in 1870.
