So i though this 3 xcelsiors buses for Hartford were for The Star Shuttle?
If so y did they installed fare boxes on them? as far as i know star shuttle is free no need for fare boxes, o i'am missing somenthing |
61, 44, 69, 94, 96, 92, 91(during monday thru thursday daytime only). Pick one. They all are low enough passenger count to warrant 35 or even 30 footers buses. |
dint think of that but it makes sences atleast on the 44,69,94 and 96 not so sure bout 91,92 cuz they will go to far out of the way and the 61 is part of the evening pulse so u need a set bus witch is usually 700 o 500 |
true. but rush hour trippers can still run short buses. if we bought smaller buses for some short rush hour trips that don't see alot of passengers like run 554 (94/96 run) or 9502 (2 95a oconnell drive trips run) then it saves gas. not saying replace full fleet but 20-30 30 or 35 footer bus in the next contract can do. |

interesting. we demoed them in 2007. but the plans only have simple right side boarding, except flatbush, where there is a boarding island where northbound buses have to pull off the busway in order to reach the stop. but i could be wrong and next rfp might have them bidding their hearts out. |
