One could wonder how, otherwise, to possibly justify deployment of this wonderful, new fad toy?

Those with any memories at all may recall the superb "dispatch choice" on assignments of (some time back)
G M C, TDH-51--, TDH-53-- types to do all the heavy lifting. Imagine that! Fifty seats (more or less) in a
single coach! Near everyone knew how to keep them running!

And when private companys were running all those TDH's, they didn't get sold for scrap every couple of years and get replaced by a new fleet. Made them last 20 years.
