Got pounded here with torrential thunderstorms 8-10am, many streets and roads flooded and the buses are running very late due to detours, closures, and traffic. Some have been disabled by the flooding as well, 277 went down in Westbury with what looked like a drowned transmission.

N20/21 - Running 45-1 hour behind schedule due to flooding.

N24 - Running 1 hour to 1 hour and half behind schedule due to flooding.

N27 - Buses are detoured Glen Cove Rd. and Old Country Rd. Running 1 hour behind due to flooding.

N27 - Jericho Tpke near Rte 107 Westbound.Running 1 hour behind due to flooding.

N15, N22a, N27, N24, N79- Old Country Road and Glen Cove Road is closed, buses are being detoured

N70/72 - Rte 110 closed between Newsday to Conklin Road, buses are being detoured and Running 1 hour behind due to flooding.

On all other Routes, expect 45 minutes to 1 Hour Delays.

Pineywoodsbus,

I've lived on Long Island virtually my whole life and don't remember the kind of flooding you describe happening in central Nassau.

I guess it's a credit to L.I.B. that they were running at all!

I'm wondering if this unusual weather on the east coast is a portend of things to come ala Al Gore's Global Warming theory.

Here in the southwest, we have had no rain at all and our drinking water supply is now in question.

Too bad we can't trade some of our oil for your excess water!

At least the N79 wasn't so bad....even though me and my driver bumped into a lil' traffic @ OC Road.
