Cleary, this road-weary early 1950's WESTERN FLYER has seen better days; still its handsome lines remain quite evident.
Note that some "customizing" has been done in the interior....at first glance, I though interior had been taken over by moss!
Still an impressive, historic coach!

Those are rugged-looking beasts....sort of a cross between a Brill and a Silversides....
Too bad the interior was spoiled with that ugly shag carpeting....
And that is one serious-looking steering wheel. |

Agreed!
A RUGGED-looking beast indeed, with far more "heft" to its appearance than the lookalike boxes of today!
I also, like yourself, took an instant dislike to that green shag inside.....as I said earlier, I had thought that the interior had been ravaged by MOSS!
Here's a rear view of the same coach.....the rounded rear windows were indeed de riguer in coach design, during that era....I sure miss buses like this!

It certainly looks to me like Western Flyer took some design cues from California's Crown Coach school buses of the era.
