This film, originally the first "X" rated mainstream picture in the then new rating system went on to win three Oscars.
It starred Jon Voight as a naive young male prostitute from Texas, and Dustin Hoffman as a sickly but street wise New Yorker that he befriended.
There are great shots of and aboard a fictional "National Coach Lines" GMC PD4107 first enroute from Texas to New York City, and later from New York City to Miami.
If you Google it and watch the trailer, there were strange circular lights in the underside of the package racks that I've only seen on the bus in that film. They look like permanent fixtures, but I wonder if they were installed just to provide better lighting for the night scenes? |
