|
|
The June 2006 issue of Bus Ride carries a story that CUSA has ordered 17 specially modified Van Hool T925 double deck coaches. They are 43'1" long, 13'1" tall, 102" wide, and are equipped with a 450 hp Cummins ISM/12-speed ZF ASTronic (w/ retarder) and a Dana drive axle. Bendix air discs are fitted all around. They seat 79; all seats have 2-point lap belts. A Blaupunkt AM/FM/CD/DVD unit is installed, with one larger (23") monitor in the upper deck and 3 smaller flip up screens downstairs. There also is a lav. Apparently a demo was shipped to the US, and operated in NY, NJ, Chicago, and in Canada. It even transited the Lincoln Tunnel without incident. |
