Hi all,
I have to admit to knowing almost nothing about buses, but I had a question that I hoped you experts could help answer.
I live in the Washington DC area, and regularly commute via Metrobus. One thing I've always wondered about is the source of a "coughing" or "gulping" sound that the bus makes when the operator lifts off the accelerator. You can hear it in this video:

I'm pretty sure it only happens on these Orion buses, but am not completely sure. Any ideas for this curious commuter?

Welcome to the board!
It seems to be unique to buses with Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) engines - I've heard the same sound on Orion V's with the Detroit Diesel Series 50G powerplant.
