I dedicate this piece to one of Hollywood's most prolific screen stars Elizabeth Taylor who passed away here in Los Angeles of congestive heart failure today at 79 years of age.
Her role in 'Butterfield 8' - a scene from which is shown below - not only won her one of two Oscars but earned her a permanent memorial here at BusTalk.
Elizabeth Taylor - a great actress and a great lady - 1932 - 2011

One of the last of the glamorous Hollywood stars. She will be missed. As an aside, a great picture Mr. L. of when 5th Avenue was two ways. The Metropolitan Museum of Art is in the background making me bet that the picture is from the N/E corner of 5th Avenue and 86th Street, with the FACC old looks in the background.
Never saw the movie, but now I've got a reason to watch it on late night. |
