Before I proceed with tonight's feature presentation, I would like to take this opportunity to assure those of you who were kind enough to email me today that I am safe and sound (well, I don't know about the sound part!) and have been unaffected by what minor ripples we received here on the left coast as a result of the Japanese Tsunami.
While I do live within only one mile of the shore line, our area of Los Angeles sits atop a miles long one hundred foot high cliff that runs parallel to the Pacific Coast Highway and protects most of California's West Coast.
Additionally, it is unlikely that any earthquake in our area of the Pacific would generate a violent wave such as occurred today in Japan because we do not live in a 'subduction' zone.
Thanks for caring.
