Man, does this ever bring back great memories of growing up in the 60's!!
Here are two jingles (one long version, and one short) of PSNJ's old radio commercials, advertising frequent service to Palisades Amusement Park (closed 1971).
The long version page features a wonderful "head-on" shot of a PS Old Look, and the short version......WOW!!!!!
Obviously that photo shows one HUMONGOUS PSNJ charter to the Park......looks like a good chunk of the mighty PS fleet is on hand!!
Ahhh, what a paradise NJ was for bus fans, long ago!
Enjoy!
John

That PSNJ had its own radio commercials comes as little surprise, given that it was the largest bus operator in the State, and served virtually every corner of it to boot,
As a lifelong Jerseyan, I can most emphatically state that PS's presence was felt far and wide in my day........truly, there were few places within the Garden State not served by these handsome gray coaches!
And it all worked like clockwork......

Charters were indeed a highly- lucrative part of PSNJ's operations, back in the 50's and 60's.
When I was a kid, seeing a big PS coach with "CHARTER" displayed on the roller curtains was practically a daily occurence, especially during the summer months, with many charters operating, of course, to Palisades Amusement Park.
Another time, another place......
