Just joined and already love it here. I've had a crush on buses since preschool days in Chicago, and I still do. I have a lot to learn, but plan to do as much learning as possible on this site.
Own lots of bus toys and models (both from eBay and from my childhood), drove for the CTA during summers in college and United Motor Coach (Des Plaines, IL) for a while after college, and have been to Japan a couple of times, where I learned to appreciate buses with doors on the left side! (I hated them when I was a kid, and the only toy buses I could find at dime stores were Japanese tin.)
My bucket-list goal: to own one of those mini, ride-in buses that would go by in every Chicago holiday parade...
(It'll never happen.) |
