Suffolk Transit has announced that the S20 will no longer terminate at the Kohl's Shopping Center in Massapequa starting on 9/7/10
Effective Tuesday, September 7, 2010
NOTICE
S20 Bus Route Change
Effective Tuesday, September 7, 2010
Suffolk County Transit (SCT) buses operating on
S20 route will no longer travel to the
Kohl's Shopping Center on Sunrise Highway, Massapequa.
All trips on the S20 bus route will travel between
Sunrise Mall, Massapequa Park and
the Babylon Railroad in Babylon Village.

It's probably a week ago that I came upon the S20 in the left-turn lane into the shopping center at 5500 Sunrise Highway, which contains McDonald's and HSBC. I presume it was u-turning, in order to access Old Sunrise Highway to Amityville. This notice is really a route cut-back of some 1500 feet or so. |

The S20 lays over at the Kohl's shopping center at this time, so i can't see it u turning to head back to Amityville, unless it was the last run which ends NYS 110 and Oak Street.
This could be the start of may route changes that Suffolk said they would be doing. |
