1984 Flxible Metro, ex-Cummins test bus. Based on the VIN, it's originally Queens Transit/Queens Surface 860.

Planning a trip to Ohio to check this out, Mike???

Seriously, I wonder if anyone has a picture of this vehicle when it ran for QT/QSC.

Interestingly this bus and its twin 861 does not show up in Bromberger's fine article about QS in the April-June 2007 Motor Coach Age.`

No Smile

Does it not show up on the roster? Wonder if it was never delivered to QT...

These buses may not have shown up on the roster but they are sure mentioned and 861 is pictured at the top of page 18 of the April/June 2007 Motor Coach Age.

The caption says that there were two Queens Transit 102 inch wide Flxible 870 demonstrators numbered 860 and 861 to fill spaces left by T8H5307A's shifted to Steinway three years before.

Why they weren't listed in the roster is anyone's guess!

Regards,

Mr. 'L'

Judging by the photos, the seller seems to have a very, um, liberal interpretation of term 'perfect condition' Surprised
