I passed this bus around 7:30PM at Harned Road in Commack as it was heading w/b. The bus was signed for the S-54 route, even pulling into the large shopping center on the south side of Vet's Highway. The bus was in the relatively new white with blue and yellow stripes, black rear and white roof.
What was odd is the the name of the operator over the driver's window said Suffolk Bus Corp. I always thought that the S-54 was an ICMC route.
What gives? |

Wasn't # 9614. That bus is still in the old colors and runs out of the Sunrise Coach Lines yard in Greenport. Almost always found on the S-92. Came from E.B.T. a couple of years ago along w/ #'s 9612, 9615 (now retired) and 9617. |

9615 is retired already, i thought it was at HJ?
S54 is an ICMC route and 9641 is listed as being an ICMC bus, so i would guess that at one time it was at Suffolk Bus Corp and was transferred and nobody noticed that the bus still said SBC. |
